IVRセンター Webサイト IVR はインターベンショナルラジオロジー(Interventional Radiology)の略でX線透視やCT、超音波などの画像診断装置で体の中を透かして見ながら、医療器具(カテーテルや針等)を用いて行う治療法であり「画像下治療」と訳されます。多くの手技が局所麻酔で行うことができることから、外科的な手術と比べ患者さんのからだへの負担が軽い(低侵襲である)のが特徴です。そのため、高齢の患者さんも安心して治療を受けられます。また、迅速性が高く、かつリアルタイムに体内の状態を観察しながら治療を行いますので治療効果がすぐに現れるのも特徴のひとつです。
